Student Life @SJU Highlights from the ArchivesSince the founding of St. John’s in 1870, students have been active participants in their education and in campus life. From the first student literary magazine published in the 1890’s, Sparks, to Freshman Beanies worn in the 1950’s, St. John’s students have shown their pride in many ways. This exhibition includes some of the unique items from St. John’s history that are housed in the University Archives.
